Eligibility criteria
You must be living in Nigeria. We currently only serve learners within the country.
You must be between ages 7 and 19 at the time of application. Your track is assigned automatically from your date of birth.
A parent or guardian must submit a brief declaration of financial circumstances. This is reviewed - not judged.
A letter from a teacher, school administrator, or trusted community leader confirming the applicant and their situation.
A short written answer (3 questions) about what you want to build or learn. We are looking for genuine interest, not perfect grammar.
Application process
Read the criteria above carefully. You must be a Nigerian resident aged 7-19 with a verified financial need and a school or community recommendation ready.
Fill in the application form via the contact page (select Scholarship Application). Include your name, age, school, and short written answers.
A parent or guardian submits a brief financial declaration via a secure form we send to them directly. This usually takes 1-2 days.
We contact your nominated teacher or community leader to confirm your application. They receive a simple email with a one-click confirmation.
The Wikrena Limited reviews all verified applications. You hear back within 14 days of your guardian and recommender both completing their steps.
Successful applicants receive their login credentials and are enrolled immediately. No payment. No card. Just start.

Within 14 days of your application being fully verified - meaning your guardian and recommender have both completed their steps. Incomplete applications are not reviewed.
Yes. You may reapply one term after a rejection. The Foundation will send brief feedback with your decision so you can strengthen your next application.
We review your progress at the end of the year. Learners who have been actively engaging with the platform are considered for renewal. Inactive accounts are not renewed.
Yes. Parents, teachers, and community workers can initiate an application on behalf of an eligible child. The child's guardian must still complete the verification step.
Yes. There is no geographic restriction within Nigeria. We encourage applications from underrepresented regions including rural and northern states.

Yes. When all available seats for a term are filled, verified applicants go onto a waiting list and are given priority the following term. You keep your place unless you withdraw.
